With the second season of Love is Blind being released on Netflix this month, the question on everyone's lips is, can love really be blind?
The first season of the Netflix show raked up 30 million viewers, so it is no surprise that the second season has been just as popular.
For those who haven't watched the show, it is a twist on blind dating, as couples on the show don't actually meet face to face until they are engaged.
The whole purpose of this is to allow the couples to build genuine, emotional connections that are not impeded by how someone looks.
They are supposed to fall in with love their partner by talking in ‘the pods’ because of their personality and say 'I do' before meeting in the flesh.
Many would argue that you can't fully love someone that you have never met, but couples from the first season who are still happily married would disagree.
The first season saw six couples get engaged after getting to know each other in the pods, but when it got to the altar, not all of them were ready to commit.
Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed
This OTP got married on the show and have been thriving ever since.
There was no doubt in their minds about tying the knot and they are still going strong to this day.
They have a YouTube channel together called Hanging with the Hamiltons and have announced they are releasing a book in June which they wrote together called Leap of Faith.
Mark Cuevas and Jessica Batten
The story of this couple was not so plain sailing. Jessica seemed to have feelings for another man in the pods, but he got engaged to someone else.
Despite this, Jessica did say yes to Mark’s engagement, but when they reached the altar, she could not commit to him.
The two of them are now engaged to different people and there is no bad blood between them.
Amber Pike and Matt Barnett
Matt was the man who Jessica really wanted to be with, and although the two of them took a liking to each other, Amber came out on top when it came to Matt’s proposal.
Despite their rollercoaster of a journey, Amber and Matt tied the knot on the show and are still married.
Giannina Milady Gibelli and Damian Powers
This couple were constantly up and down at the show.
After hitting it off in the pods, Damian rejected Giannina at the altar, leading to her running away from him down the aisle and stacking it in the mud in her beautiful bridal dress.
Despite him saying no, the couple continued trying to make it work.
However, at the reunion Damian brought Too Hot to Handle’s Francesca Farago, despite Giannina telling the cameras her and Damien had got back together.
This, of course, caused fireworks between the pair, but made for great TV. But to be completely honest, no one could really work out why on earth Francesca would agree to go to the reunion when she was never on Love is Blind.
Giannina and Damian carried on talking after the reunion as friends, but are no longer romantically involved.
Diamond Jack and Carlton Morton
These two got engaged in the pods but it was far from a smooth ride to follow.
Carlton opened up about his sexuality to Diamond, but this led to an explosive argument, resulting in him throwing his ring into the pool.
However, viewers were left very confused when at the reunion show, Carlton pulled out a ring box from the sofa, got down on one knee (but made it adamantly clear he was not proposing), and apologised to Diamond, giving her the ring as a “significant piece of friendship and the start of something beautiful.”
But, it turns out this was just a gesture of friendship and they have in fact gone their separate ways.
Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes
Kelly and Kenny seemed to be the perfect pair on the show, but at the altar, neither of them were ready to commit.
They later revealed they had had many conversations prior to the wedding saying they were adamant they would not get married so soon.
Kelly later revealed she thought her and Kenny would continue dating, but on the last day of filming he ended things with her.
Kelly, via social media, appears to be single but Kenny is now engaged to someone else.
The first six episodes of Love is Blind season two are available to watch on Netflix now.
